Raghav Chadha named RS Panel chief

New Delhi, May 23: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has been appointed chairman of the Rajya Sabha’s Committee on Petitions following the reconstitution of the panel by Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan.

According to a Rajya Sabha notification, Chadha, who recently switched from the Aam Aadmi Party to the Bharatiya Janata Party, will head the committee with effect from May 20.

The reconstituted panel includes Harsh Mahajan, Gulam Ali, Shambhu Sharan Patel, Mayankkumar Nayak, Masthan Rao Yadav Beedha, Jebi Mather Hisham, Subhasish Khuntia, Rwngwra Narzary and Sandosh Kumar P.

In a separate notification, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat said that Menaka Guruswamy has been nominated as a member of the Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

The notification stated that the nomination was made by the Rajya Sabha Chairman on May 20.
