Cannes, May 22: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a glamorous appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026, with her first look from the French Riviera going viral on social media on Friday, May 22.

The actress, known for her appearances on the Cannes red carpet over the years, opted for a custom-designed royal blue couture gown created by designer Amit Aggarwal.

While official photographs from the festival are yet to be released, several videos and pictures of Aishwarya’s look surfaced online shortly after her arrival, drawing praise from fans and fashion enthusiasts.

The couture creation, titled “Luminara”, was designed around the concept of light in motion. According to details shared by the designer, the outfit interprets light as energy, movement and force through sculptural craftsmanship and engineered detailing.

The gown also features Amit Aggarwal’s signature “Crystal Vein” embroidery technique, developed through more than 1,500 hours of intricate handwork.
