Udupi, May 21: The Udupi Block Congress Committee, under the leadership of its president Ramesh Kanchan, felicitated the newly appointed bishop of Udupi diocese, Dr Leslie Clifford D’Souza, at the Bishop’s House, Udupi on May 20.
On the occasion, the Congress leaders honoured the bishop by presenting him with a shawl and garland and extended their heartfelt congratulations on assuming office as the new bishop of the Udupi diocese.
Speaking during the interaction, the leaders expressed hope that Bishop Dr Leslie Clifford D’Souza’s service and guidance would become a source of light and inspiration to society.






Accepting the felicitation, bishop Leslie Clifford D’Souza thanked everyone for the love, respect, and warm wishes extended to him. He wished God’s blessings upon all and emphasized that humanity is the greatest religion. He called upon people to live with peace and harmony and uphold human values by helping the oppressed and the underprivileged.
