Kochi, May 21: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal celebrated his birthday in a memorable way by joining fans for the first day first show of Drishyam 3 at a theatre in Kerala.
Videos from the event, which have gone viral on social media, show the actor arriving at Kavitha Theatre dressed in a simple yellow shirt and white trousers, greeting cheering fans before entering the cinema hall to watch the film with the audience.

The clips shared by Mohanlal Fans Club captured the actor warmly waving to fans, who gathered in large numbers to celebrate both his birthday and the release of the much-awaited thriller.
The trailer of Drishyam 3, which runs for over two minutes, hints at Georgekutty and his family attempting to move on from the past, even as lingering suspicions continue to haunt them. While the world may appear to have accepted their innocence, certain individuals remain unconvinced about what truly happened.
The new instalment is expected to delve deeper into Georgekutty’s psychological struggles, emotional burden and survival instincts as he continues protecting his family.
Mohanlal reprises his iconic role as Georgekutty, while Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil also return to the franchise. Actress Veena Nandakumar joins the cast as a journalist determined to uncover the truth behind the case.
Meanwhile, reports have also emerged about Mohanlal’s upcoming collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Dileesh Pothan.
According to reports quoting producer Antony Perumbavoor, Mohanlal is expected to play the lead in Dileesh Pothan’s next directorial venture, marking a much-anticipated collaboration in Malayalam cinema.
The project is reportedly planned in a genre different from the usual styles associated with both the actor and director. Actor Asif Ali is also expected to play a major role in the film.
Reports suggest production may begin in December 2026, though schedules could shift due to Mohanlal’s prior commitments, including his upcoming film with director Priyadarshan.
Antony Perumbavoor also reportedly confirmed that L3: Azrael, the third instalment in the Lucifer franchise, remains part of the team’s future plans.
