Kasargod, May 18: Two houses constructed for poor families as part of the new building project of Kayyar Christ the King Church were formally handed over during a special programme.
Under the initiative and leadership of Fr Vishal Monis, five houses have already been constructed and handed over to poor families. Three houses had earlier been built and handed over within a span of one-and-a-half years.
The newly constructed two houses near Kayyar were blessed by Fr Maxim Rozario, estate manager of the Bishop’s House, Mangaluru.

The houses were constructed with the support and leadership of Konkani Cultural Organisation (KCO) Mangaluru-Abu Dhabi as part of its silver jubilee celebrations.
Konkani Cultural Organisation Abu Dhabi president Clevy Leo Rodrigues and treasurer Franklin D’Cunha inaugurated the houses.
Jeffrey, Jesintha, and Sister Mary Machado, who donated the land for the houses, were honoured on the occasion.

The two houses were constructed and handed over to the families of Vijay D’Souza and David D’Souza. Earlier too, houses had been built and handed over to three other families.
