Bantwal, May 12: "The organisational strength of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again bolstered patriotic politics in West Bengal. The BJP's historic victory has instilled a new wave of self-confidence within the Hindu society there. This triumph has brought peace to the soul of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of the Jana Sangh and a revolutionary icon of West Bengal," stated BJP leader Prabhakar Prabhu.

He was speaking at a celebratory event organised by Booth No 4 of Sangabettu village, under the Bantwal BJP assembly constituency, at the residence of gram panchayat member Sunil Shettigar. The event marked the BJP's success in West Bengal. Prabhu offered floral tributes to the portraits of Bharat Mata and Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee during the programme.

Addressing the gathering, he further said, "West Bengal is a sacred land that has given the country numerous patriotic freedom fighters. Great personalities like Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose of the Azad Hind Fauj, and Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, who penned 'Vande Mataram', sacrificed everything for the nation. However, for the past several decades, the rule of the Congress, Communists, and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) had created an atmosphere of violence and unrest in the state. Now, through the organisational power of the RSS and the BJP, it has returned to the fold of a patriotic political party. This unprecedented victory has brought immense joy to the Hindus of the state."

Sangabettu Maha Shakti Kendra BJP president Satish Poojary and Sangabettu Shakti Kendra Pramukh Naveen Hegde also spoke on the occasion, highlighting Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee's patriotism, principles, and his immense contribution to party organisation.

Booth president Vinod Adapa; former gram panchayat members Sunil Shettigar and Madhava Shettigar; Bantwal Mandal BJP SC Morcha secretary Rajesh Sangabettu; CA Bank director Vishwanath Shettigar; former director Devaraj Salian; and key party members including Devappa Gowda, Bhoja Shettigar, Jayavarma Sangabettu, Basavaraj Acharya Siddakatte, Srinivasa Karkera Manchakal, and Ganesh Shettigar Siddakatte, were among those present at the event.

Sundara Shettigar welcomed the gathering and proposed a vote of thanks.
