New Delhi, Apr 17: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday carried out searches at the residences and business premises of Punjab MLA and Minister Sanjeev Arora, along with his business partners Hemanth Sood and Chandrasekhar Aggarwal.

Officials said raids were conducted at multiple locations in Ludhiana and other parts of Punjab as part of an ongoing investigation.

Reacting to the action, Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged a political motive behind the searches. In a post on X, he said, “ED has now raided Punjab Minister Sanjiv Arora. This is a clear pattern. This is how BJP starts its preparation for a state election.”

Sanjeev Arora, responding to the development, said he would extend full cooperation to the investigating agency. “An action by the Enforcement Directorate took place at my premises. As a responsible citizen, I will fully cooperate with the agencies, and I am confident that the truth will prevail,” he said.
