Sylvester Stallone confirms ‘Frisco King’ spin-off as ‘Tulsa King’ expands franchise

Mumbai, Apr 16: Hollywood veteran Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that production is underway for a spin-off series titled Frisco King, along with the fourth season of the hit crime drama Tulsa King, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses on social media.

Stallone posted an image from the set on Instagram, showing him alongside co-star Samuel L. Jackson and members of the production team, captioning it: “From one king to another Frisco King is now in production! #FriscoKing.”

The original series Tulsa King premiered in 2022 and features Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a former New York Mafia capo who, after being released from prison, is relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire.

The show also stars actors including Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, A. C. Peterson, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany.

Since its debut, Tulsa King has expanded rapidly, with Season 2 releasing in 2024 and Season 3 premiering in 2025. Paramount has now confirmed both a fourth season and the new spin-off Frisco King, further expanding the franchise universe.

Beyond television, Stallone’s career spans more than five decades, with major acclaim for iconic roles in franchises such as Rocky and Rambo. He has received numerous honors including a Golden Globe Award and multiple major award nominations.

The actor is also part of an upcoming collaboration with filmmaker Quentin Tarantino on a six-part miniseries reportedly set in the 1930s, shot in black and white and featuring themes involving gangsters, boxing, and music.
