Mangaluru: SJEC to host ‘Milan 2026’ cultural fest on Apr 10

Mangaluru, Apr 9: St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Vamanjoor is all set to host Milan 2026, a vibrant cultural extravaganza that celebrates talent, creativity, and unity among students. The much-awaited event will be held on April 10 at the SJEC campus.

The day-long celebrations will commence with the inaugural programme at 9:15 am, featuring a grand procession followed by the formal inauguration. The event will be graced by distinguished dignitaries including Fr Wilfred P D’Souza (director, SJEC), Fr Kenneth R Crasta (assistant director, SJEC), and Dr Rio D’Souza (principal, SJEC).

The morning session will also feature the presence of Remona Evette Pereira, popularly known as “The Golden Girl of Mangaluru”, as the guest of honour. The programme will include engaging activities such as flash mob performances, guest dance, felicitation, spot games, and various cultural competitions.

The celebrations will continue into the evening with a cultural programme at 5:00 pm, showcasing an exciting line-up of performances. The evening event will be graced by eminent personalities including Ln Kishor D Shetty (producer, Lakumi Cine Creations), Walter Nandalike (founder & managing director, Daijiworld Media), and other distinguished guests.

• A grand DJ session

• Diverse cultural performances by students

The event is being coordinated by student conveners Pratheek Moras and Renika Yathish, under the guidance of faculty conveners Dr Prathima S and Chitharanjan M.

Milan 2026 promises to be a spectacular celebration of art, culture, and student talent, bringing together the SJEC community for a day filled with enthusiasm, entertainment, and cultural pride.
