New Delhi, Apr 9: Fugitive gangster Rao Inderjeet Yadav, who had fled to Dubai following a murder case in Haryana, has been arrested by authorities, with his extradition to India expected shortly.
Sources said Dubai authorities have sought relevant documents from Indian agencies to initiate the extradition process. Yadav had been on the run since 2024 after being linked to the murder of a businessman in Rohtak.

Police records indicate that more than 15 cases and chargesheets have been filed against him by authorities in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. He is accused of offences including extortion, coercive loan settlements, armed intimidation and involvement in organised criminal activities.
The Enforcement Directorate had also launched a money laundering investigation against Yadav last year. During raids conducted in Delhi and Gurugram, officials reportedly seized luxury vehicles, cash worth Rs 17 lakh, bank locker details, digital devices and other incriminating materials linked to him and his associates.
Investigators described Yadav as a key player in facilitating high-value financial settlements through coercive means, acting as an enforcer in disputes involving private financiers and corporate entities.
Apart from his criminal activities, Yadav was also associated with a music platform, Gem Records Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which operated under the brand “Gems Tunes” and produced regional content. He was known for flaunting a lavish lifestyle on social media, where he had a significant following.
His name had surfaced in multiple high-profile cases, including the murder of a financer in 2024 and incidents of firing linked to public figures in Haryana. Shortly after these incidents, he reportedly fled the country.
Authorities said further legal procedures are underway, and Yadav is likely to be brought back to India to face trial in the coming days.
