Udupi, Apr 7: Shamili Springs, a modern and fully air-conditioned luxury resort and convention facility, was inaugurated on April 7 near the scenic surroundings of Hiriyadka, close to the National Highway.

The grand inauguration was carried out by Dr G Shankar, managing director of Shamili Group of Concerns, Udupi, along with other dignitaries, by ceremonially cutting the ribbon.

Shamili Springs is a dream project of Dr G Shankar, envisioned to offer a state-of-the-art convention centre at an affordable cost. Designed to cater to a wide range of events including weddings, engagements, baby showers, corporate meetings, and social gatherings, the facility aims to provide a premium experience within reach of the common public.

Complementing it is the Shanaya Grand Hall, a spacious dining facility that can accommodate over 500 people at a time, with separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine.

Adding a spiritual dimension to the venue is the presence of the Sri Prasanna Ganapathi Temple, located near the convention centre.

The resort also features Shamili Greens, an open garden venue ideal for mehendi, haldi, twilight weddings, and night parties. The garden offers a picturesque and customizable setting, along with a dedicated dining hall and separate kitchens, ensuring convenience and flexibility for event organizers.

Beyond event spaces, Shamili Springs offers 28 air-conditioned deluxe rooms and 2 private villas located close to the auditorium, making it convenient for guests traveling from distant places. Additional amenities include, ample parking facility for over 300 vehicles, Swimming pool, Recreation club, and Children’s play area. These facilities make it a suitable venue for destination weddings and large-scale corporate events.
