ConCity reveals Yogi Babu as ‘Jacky’ in star-studded comedy

Chennai, Apr 5: The makers of director Harish Durairaj’s upcoming comedy family entertainer have unveiled the character of popular comedian Yogi Babu, who will be seen playing ‘Jacky’ in the much-anticipated film.

Produced by Power House Pictures, the film—titled ConCity—features Arjun Das and Anna Ben in lead roles. The production house shared the update on social media, highlighting that the film promises plenty of humour with Yogi Babu’s presence.

The team has been steadily introducing characters from the film. Arul Doss will appear as Gopi, while Radha Ravi plays Abdul Razzak. Shahji Chen takes on the role of MLA Senthil. Several other actors, including Ponvannan, Imman Annachi, Thambi Ramaiah, and Bharadwaj Rangan, are also part of the ensemble cast.

A teaser released earlier has already generated buzz. It follows the character played by Arjun Das, who is on the run with his family after a confrontation with a money lender. In a dramatic twist, he comes into possession of a mysterious device that starts printing Rs 500 notes when activated—bringing both opportunity and danger as others begin to discover his secret.

The film blends humour with fantasy and tension, setting the stage for an entertaining narrative.

On the technical side, music is composed by Sean Roldan, while cinematography is handled by Aravind Viswanathan. Editing is by Arul Moses A, with production design by Raj Kamal. Costumes are designed by Navaa Rambo Rajkumar, and lyrics are penned by Mohan Rajan. Action choreography is by Action Sandhosh, with dance sequences by Santhosh.

With its quirky premise and strong ensemble, ConCity is shaping up to be a unique blend of comedy and fantasy, and is expected to hit theatres soon.
