Auto driver goes missing in Bantwal; complaint filed

Bantwal, Apr 4: A case has been registered at the Bantwal Rural police station regarding the disappearance of a young auto driver from Kadabettu village.

The missing person has been identified as Mohammed Rayib (21), a resident of Kelagina Vagga in Kadabettu.

According to the complaint, Rayib, who is married, was residing near his father’s house. On the night of April 1, he had dropped his mother and sister home after attending a wedding function. Later, as per his routine, he reportedly went to his grandfather’s house to sleep.

However, on the morning of April 2, his grandmother, who woke up for Namaz, noticed that the door of the room was open. Upon checking, Rayib was found missing. His vehicle was also not seen at the house, and his mobile phone was switched off.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged by his father Abdul Latif at the Bantwal Rural police station. Police have taken up the case and further investigation is underway.
