Hyderabad, Mar 28: The makers of Lenin, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu and starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, have announced a postponement of the film’s release to June 26, 2026.
The film was initially slated to hit theatres on May 1, but the decision was revised to avoid a box office clash with Peddi, featuring Ram Charan, which is set to release on April 30. Production house Annapurna Studios said the move was taken out of mutual respect and to maintain a positive cinematic environment, noting the close bond between Ram Charan and Akhil Akkineni.
The makers assured audiences that Lenin will arrive worldwide on June 26 as a complete cinematic experience, packed with emotion and presented at the highest quality.

In the film, Bhagyashri Borse plays Bharathi, the love interest of the titular character. The project has already generated strong buzz among fans. Actress Sreeleela was initially cast as the female lead but stepped away due to scheduling conflicts, after which Borse joined the cast.
A previously released glimpse video hinted at an intense narrative, drawing visual parallels to epic battle sequences and introducing Akhil in a powerful, action-driven role. The film carries the tagline, “No war is more violent than love.”
The technical crew includes cinematographer Naveen Kumar, music composer Thaman S, and editor Navin Nooli, further raising expectations for the action entertainer.
