Fire engulfs 7 acres near school in Kadaba; no casualties reported

Kadaba, Mar 27: A fire broke out near a government primary school at Sabaluru in Kyula village of Kadaba taluk on Thursday, spreading across a large area and destroying vegetation.

According to sources, the fire is suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit in a nearby transformer. The flames quickly spread to adjoining land near the school, burning dry grass, shrubs and covering nearly two acres in the initial incident.

Locals rushed to the spot and managed to control the fire before it could spread further.

Meanwhile, similar fire incidents were reported from Kalayi and Nelnottu areas of Kyula village, where the blaze spread across a total of around seven acres, destroying grass and vegetation.

Fire and emergency services personnel later arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. No casualties were reported.
