Man from Udupi goes missing in Bengaluru; police complaint filed

Udupi, Mar 27: A 53-year-old man from Bommarabettu village in Hiriyadka, who was residing in Bengaluru, has been reported missing for the past 4–5 months, prompting his family to lodge a complaint with the Hiriyadka police station.

The missing person has been identified as Yathiraj, a native of Panchanabettu in Bommarabettu village. According to family members, he was unmarried and had earlier lived in Mumbai with relatives. Following the death of his parents, he shifted to Bengaluru in 2024.

He had informed his relatives about his stay in Bengaluru and remained in regular contact through phone calls. However, for the past 4–5 months, he has been unreachable, and efforts to trace him through acquaintances and contacts in Bengaluru have yielded no information.

Yathiraj is described as being around 5 feet 4 inches tall, of medium build, with a wheatish complexion and an oval face.

Police have urged the public to share any information regarding his whereabouts with the Hiriyadka police station.
