Mangaluru, Mar 18: Details of the upcoming ‘Alva’s Cultural Vaibhav’ were shared during a press meet. Highlighting a grand showcase of India’s diverse art forms by over 500 student performers.
The event, organized by the Mangaluru unit of Alva’s Nudisiri Virasat, will be held on March 21 at the Karavali Utsav Grounds, Lalbagh, on the stage dedicated to the late Dr M Mohan Alva. The programme is being conducted in memory of the late Dr M Mohan Alva.
The inaugural session, scheduled to last 45 minutes, will be inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Capt Brijesh Chowta, while Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath will preside over the function.

Several prominent members from different sections of society are expected to be present as guests.
More than 500 student artists from Alva’s Education Foundation will present a wide range of cultural performances. The highlights include Yogadeepika, classical dance ‘Ashtalakshmi', Badagutittu Yakshagana ‘Shankarardha Shareerini', Gujarati Dandiya dance, Manipuri stick dance, Mallakhamb and rope acts, creative dance, Dollu Kunitha, Kathak ‘Varshadhare', Purulia Chhau (lion dance), Thenkutittu Yakshagana ‘Hiranyaksha Vadhe', and Bombe Vinodavali.
Arrangements have been made for over 8,000 seats for the audience, and entry to the event is free for all. Organizers stated that the programme will begin and conclude as per schedule.
Addressing the media, organizers emphasized that Alva’s Cultural Vaibhav is one of Karnataka’s most renowned cultural events, offering a unique platform to witness the richness, tradition, and diversity of Indian culture on a single stage. They added that such events help convey meaningful social messages and contribute to building a culturally aware society.
