Mangaluru: Srinivas University organises vibrant competition titled ‘Creative Queens’

Mangaluru, Mar 17: The Women Cell of the BBA department, Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University, organized a vibrant competition titled ‘Creative Queens’ on March 13 in Room No. 414 at the City Campus. The programme was conducted as part of the Women’s Day celebrations to encourage female students to showcase their creativity, talent, and confidence.

The competition was organized exclusively for female students of the BBA department, where participants formed groups consisting of 5–8 members. Each group presented their creative abilities through activities such as hairstyling, makeup, nail art, and mehendi design. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to express their artistic talents while promoting teamwork, self-confidence, and appreciation for individual creativity.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students. Each team displayed innovative styles and unique ideas while presenting attractive hairstyles, elegant makeup looks, creative nail art, and intricate mehendi patterns. The event created a lively and engaging atmosphere as students demonstrated their coordination, creativity, and artistic skills.

The competition was judged by Prof Bhat Apoorva B., assistant professor, BCom Department, IMC, who evaluated the participants based on creativity, presentation, teamwork, and overall appearance. The judge appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm shown by the students and encouraged them to continue nurturing their talents and creative abilities.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr Venkatesh S Amin, dean, IMC, Prof Shilpa K, head of the department of BBA, and Prof Shwetha N S, course coordinator, BBA Department. The event was coordinated by Dr Bharathi and Prof K Shivani, women cell coordinators, Department of BBA, Institute of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University.

The ‘Creative Queens’ competition turned out to be vibrant and engaging, providing an opportunity for female students to express their creativity and build confidence. The programme successfully celebrated the spirit of Women’s Day by encouraging students to showcase their talents and appreciate the creativity of their peers while fostering teamwork and a positive learning environment.
