Chikkamagaluru, Mar 16: The Sunday School of St Joseph’s Church, Hirebile celebrated the Annual Catechism Day on the fourth Sunday of Lent, also known as Laetare Sunday, the Joyful Sunday.
The Holy Mass was offered by the parish priest, Fr David Prakash. In his homily, he explained the importance and meaning of catechism in the lives of children. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters and catechism teachers who dedicated their time and effort throughout the year to teaching the children. He appreciated their cooperation and commitment in strengthening the parish catechism ministry.
On this occasion, 31 catechism students were awarded certificates and prizes in recognition of their excellence and achievements.
After the programme, the students were served food and enjoyed fun party games, making the celebration joyful and memorable for everyone.
