Beltangady, Mar 11: Two persons sustained minor injuries after a car lost control and overturned after crashing into an electric pole at Kapu on the national highway in Mundaje village of Beltangady taluk on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Srinivasa (53) and Shanmukha (46), both natives of Tiptur. They escaped with minor injuries and were treated at a private hospital in Kakkinje.

According to reports, the car was travelling from Tiptur towards Ujire. At around 4 am on Tuesday, when the vehicle reached Kapu in Mundaje village, the driver lost control of the car, causing it to veer off the road and crash into an electric pole before overturning.
