Mangaluru author Reshel Fernandes honoured as ‘Emerging Voice of Bharat’ on Women’s Day

Bengaluru, Mar 9: Young author and orator Reshel Bretny Fernandes from Mangaluru was honoured with the title 'Emerging Voice of Bharat' on the occasion of International Women's Day at a function held in Bengaluru.

The recognition was conferred by the national organisation Inki Pehchan Foundation during a programme organised at Zuri Whitefield. The award was presented by noted actress Sudha Chandran.

Fernandes, an ABVP activist and final-year LLB student, is also a recipient of the Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award. She has authored five books and has earned recognition at both national and international levels in the literary field.

Her work and achievements have been featured in several reputed magazines and have received appreciation from the offices of Narendra Modi and Droupadi Murmu, along with other ministries.

Recognised by over 200 media platforms for her contributions to literature and public speaking, Fernandes is regarded by supporters as a young voice contributing to modern India’s intellectual and cultural landscape.

She is the daughter of teachers Ronald and Nancy.
