Dr Nagalakshmi Choudhary visits KSRTC bus stand in Bejai to review women’s safety measures

Mangaluru, Mar 5: Dr Nagalakshmi Choudhary, chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Women, visited Dakshina Kannada district as part of her official tour and made a surprise visit to the KSRTC Bus Stand at Bejai on March 4.

During the visit, she inspected various facilities related to women’s safety and public convenience. She reviewed the security arrangements, the child care centre, CCTV surveillance system, and the cleanliness of the premises.

Dr Choudhary also instructed the authorities to prominently display the women’s helpline number at the bus stand so that women passengers can easily access support in case of need. She expressed appreciation for the facilities and the efforts taken to ensure safety and hygiene at the bus stand.
