Moodbidri, Feb 27: A 45-year-old man from Belagavi district has been reported missing in Moodbidri, and a complaint in this regard has been registered at the Moodbidri police station.
The missing person has been identified as Siddappa Manashetty (45), a resident of Mugulkod village in Raybag taluk of Belagavi district.
According to the complaint, Siddappa had brought his two children from his native place to Moodbidri on February 21 to appear for an examination at Alva’s Kannada Medium School. After the examination, he reportedly put his children on a bus back to their hometown, stating that he had some work in Moodbidri and would return later.

However, several days have passed and Siddappa has not returned home. His mobile phone has been found switched off, raising concern among family members. Despite searching at various places, the family was unable to trace him.
Subsequently, his relative Mallappa lodged a missing person complaint at the Moodbidri police station.
Siddappa is described as being of stout build and dark complexion. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a blue half-sleeve shirt and black trousers.
Police have appealed to the public to share any information regarding the whereabouts of Siddappa with the Moodbidri police station.
