Mangaluru: KMC Hospital, Dr B R Ambedkar Circle introduces Sunday OPD services

Media Release

Mangaluru, Feb 26: KMC Hospital, Dr B R Ambedkar Circle, Mangaluru has announced the launch of its Sunday Outpatient Department (OPD) services starting March 1, 2026. The initiative has been introduced to ensure patients have access to quality medical consultations even on weekends, addressing the growing need for flexible healthcare services.

The Sunday OPD will be available every Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, offering consultations and diagnostic support, including lab and radiology services. The move aims to benefit those who do not wish to wait until Monday for medical treatment, as well as working professionals, students, senior citizens, and families who find it difficult to visit the hospital during busy weekdays.

With increasing work and personal commitments during the week, many individuals tend to delay their essential healthcare requirements. By opening its OPD services on Sundays, the hospital seeks to bridge this gap and encourage timely medical attention without disrupting daily routines. The Sunday services will provide access to key specialties such as general medicine, ENT, orthopaedic, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, neurology, cosmetology & aesthetics and essential diagnostic facilities.

Speaking about the initiative, Pramod Kunder, cluster director, KMC Hospital Mangaluru, said, “Healthcare needs do not follow a calendar. With the introduction of our Sunday OPD services from March 1, we aim to provide greater convenience and accessibility to our community. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to patient-centric care, ensuring that quality medical services are available when they are needed most. For appointments, contact: 1800 102 5555.”
