New Delhi, Feb 24: A Leh-bound flight operated by SpiceJet returned to the national capital shortly after takeoff on Tuesday after the crew reported a technical issue.
Flight SG 121 turned back as a precautionary measure and landed safely at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. All passengers were disembarked normally and no injuries were reported.

A SpiceJet spokesperson clarified that there was no fire warning in the cockpit and that the return was prompted by a technical snag detected soon after departure.
The aircraft has been withdrawn from service for detailed inspection, the airline said, adding that alternative travel arrangements were being made for the affected passengers.
The incident comes four months after another SpiceJet flight, operating from Mumbai to Kolkata, made an emergency landing in November 2025 due to an engine-related technical snag during descent. All passengers had remained safe in that episode as well.
