Goa sees slight relief as daytime temperatures dip after two weeks of heat

Panaji, Feb 20: After nearly two weeks of above-average temperatures, Goa experienced a modest easing in daytime heat on Wednesday. Panaji and Mormugao both recorded maximum temperatures closer to seasonal norms, according to IMD data.

The maximum temperature in Panaji was 31.6°C, just 0.5°C above normal, while Mormugao recorded 32.8°C, 1.4°C above the seasonal average. This marked a slight relief after an extended spell where coastal Goa saw daytime temperatures nearly 3°C higher than normal.

Minimum temperatures showed mixed trends. Panaji registered 22°C, 1.4°C above normal, whereas Mormugao recorded 21.6°C, slightly below normal by 0.6°C.

Relative humidity remained high, holding steady at 90% in both locations.
