Hyderabad, Feb 14: Kanara Catholic Welfare Association (KCWA) Hyderabad hosted its ‘Jingle and Mingle 2025’ celebration on Sunday, December 7, 2025, bringing members and families together for a lively Christmas gathering filled with prayer, music, games, and community fellowship.
Members began arriving through the morning, and the event commenced around 10 am. Lovita and Rohit hosted the programme and opened with a warm welcome. Soon after, guests joined in for the Christmas tree decoration. Children and adults took part with equal excitement, turning the activity into one of the early highlights of the day.

Elvina Menezes led a short prayer that set a reflective tone before the celebrations picked up pace. KCWA president Ashley Coelho delivered the welcome address and spoke about the value of celebrating Christmas together as a community. Rohit then led the Christmas chat, where members shared cherished memories and thoughts on Christmas traditions and culture.
The children enjoyed a high-energy segment designed to keep the young audience fully engaged. The programme then moved into music, with Rikardo and team performing popular Christmas songs. Children also presented dance performances with Santa Claus joining them, drawing smiles from families across the hall.
The association honoured senior members aged above 70 in a special felicitation led by treasurer Norman Bennis and vice president Stany Mendonca. The moment recognized long-time members whose presence and support have strengthened KCWA Hyderabad over the years.
A Christmas quiz led by Richard, Rohit, and Lovita brought friendly competition and laughter. Members also came together for carol singing in Konkani and English, followed by spontaneous karaoke performances that saw participation from both the young and the old. Snacks and beverages remained available through the event.
After Stany Mendonca led the grace prayer, members shared a lunch that offered time for relaxed conversations. The committee then distributed prizes to winners of the virtual carol singing competition held as a lead-up to the event, along with awards for game winners. The grand gift hamper winner was announced after raffle ticket sales during the programme.
Ashley Coelho and the executive committee closed the event with a vote of thanks. They also launched ‘Committee Bells’, a new song jointly produced by committee members with the use of AI. Members ended the celebration with an energetic baila dance that brought the gathering to a joyful close.
