Hyderabad, Feb 9: Telugu superstar Venkatesh on Monday unveiled the intense teaser of High, an upcoming anthology film directed by S Krishna that explores the many meanings of being “high” — emotionally, morally and psychologically.
High marks the directorial debut of S Krishna, a long-time collaborator of blockbuster filmmaker Anil Ravipudi and a co-writer on several of his successful films. In this ambitious project, Krishna wears multiple hats as director, writer, actor and co-producer.
The film is jointly produced by Harish Peddi, S Krishna and Sekhar Divvela under the banners of Imagespark Entertainment and Myra Creations. The ensemble cast includes Ananya Sharma, Pallavi Dora, Krishna Kamal, Sai Krishna, Revanth (Bulliraju), along with Krishna himself.

The teaser introduces four interconnected stories, each centred on a character chasing their own version of a “high.” One woman seeks escape by hiring someone to end her life, a man obsessed with wealth turns to alcohol for fulfillment, another woman finds empowerment by reclaiming her self-worth, while her lover thrives on the rush of dangerous gambling. Together, the narratives question whether true highs come from reckless choices or from confronting life head-on.
Rather than glorifying excess, High appears to underline a deeper message — that lasting fulfillment comes from choosing the right path, and that earned joy carries a far greater emotional payoff than shortcuts or self-destruction.
Visually, the teaser stands out with sharp close-ups, fast-paced editing and shifting colour tones, courtesy cinematographers Mallu Nayak and Suneel Reddy. Vikasa Badisa’s pulsating background score heightens the emotional intensity, while editing is handled by GRK Saran Ravula. Action choreography is overseen by V Venkat.
Industry sources say principal shooting for the film’s talkie portions has been completed, with only song sequences left to be filmed. Post-production work is already underway and progressing swiftly.
With its bold theme and striking presentation, High has set expectations high, positioning itself as a compelling addition to Telugu cinema’s growing space for experimental storytelling.
