Patna, Feb 9: Janshakti Janta Dal president Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday strongly objected to his name being linked with his former woman ‘partner’ Anushka Yadav, dismissing the claims circulating on social media as “baseless and misleading”.
Addressing a press conference, Yadav refuted rumours that he had a child, alleging that the narrative was fabricated to tarnish his image. “A conspiracy is being hatched against me. Some ‘Jaichands’ are continuously trying to defame me,” he said.

The leader further alleged that former RJD MLA from Mahua, Mukesh Roshan, was plotting to kill him. He also named Sanjay Yadav, Shakti Singh and Sunil Singh, accusing them of acting against him and attempting to damage his reputation due to his growing popularity.
Clarifying his stand, Yadav said he had no connection with the woman in question and warned that he would initiate legal proceedings against those spreading what he termed false information. “I will approach the court against the misinformation being spread about me,” he said.
Expressing concern over his safety, Yadav said he had sought security from Bihar Home Minister Samrat Choudhary and would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi if necessary. He claimed sustained defamation and pressure were attempts to push him into depression.
Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, had last year shared a Facebook post declaring a long-standing relationship with Anushka Yadav. The post claimed the two had been in a relationship for 12 years. However, he later asserted that his social media account had been hacked and the photographs edited to defame him and his family.
Following the controversy, Tej Pratap was expelled from the RJD and disowned by his father. A day after his expulsion, his estranged wife Aishwarya Rai termed Lalu Prasad Yadav’s action an eyewash aimed at misleading the people of Bihar.
