Mysuru: KSOU awards PhD to Canara College lecturer Namitha K

Mysuru, Feb 5: The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, has awarded a PhD degree to Namitha K for her research work in Hindi literature.

She was conferred the doctorate for her thesis titled “Empowerment as Expressed in Contemporary Hindi Poetry”, completed under the guidance of Dr Prabhusen D, associate professor, KSOU, Mysuru. Her PhD viva-voce examination was successfully held on January 27.

Currently serving as a lecturer at Canara College, Mangaluru, Namitha formally received her PhD degree during the convocation ceremony of KSOU held on January 31.

Her academic achievement has been widely appreciated, with her family members, research guide, colleagues and students extending heartfelt congratulations. Her husband, Ashok Kumar Padil, is a businessman.

The achievement adds another feather to the cap of the institution and highlights her contribution to research in contemporary Hindi poetry.
