Hyderabad, Feb 1: Actor Ram Charan and his wife, businesswoman Upasana Konidela, have welcomed twins — a baby boy and a baby girl — adding to joy in the mega family. With this, the couple are now parents to three children. Congratulatory messages poured in from fans and well-wishers across the country.

Megastar Chiranjeevi confirmed the news on social media, announcing that the twins were born on Saturday. “With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins — a baby boy and a baby girl. Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well,” he wrote, thanking everyone for their prayers and blessings.

Ram Charan and Upasana got married in June 2012 after an engagement in December 2011. The couple, who were friends for several years before tying the knot, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Klin Kaara, in June 2023. During Diwali 2025, Upasana had hinted at the pregnancy by sharing a video of her Seemantham ceremony, writing that the festival was about “double the celebration, double the love and double the blessings.”

Upasana is the vice-chairperson of Apollo Charity and the granddaughter of Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C Reddy, while Ram Charan is the son of Chiranjeevi.

On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in RRR and Acharya in 2022, followed by a cameo in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in 2023. His 2025 film Game Changer, in which he played dual roles, failed to impress at the box office. He is currently shooting for the sports drama Peddi, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, and is also producing Nikhil Siddhartha’s period film The India House.
