New Delhi, Jan 30: Actor Akanksha Chamola has rubbished rumours of a possible divorce from husband and Bigg Boss 19 winner Gaurav Khanna, after an Instagram post by her was widely misinterpreted online.

In an interaction, Akanksha clarified that there is “absolutely no trouble” in their marriage and stressed that the post had nothing to do with Gaurav.

“The post was meant to promote my upcoming series. It was open to interpretation, but it was blown out of proportion,” she said, adding that she does not discuss personal matters on social media.

Akanksha also addressed the trolling she faced after openly speaking about not being ready for motherhood. She said it remains a personal choice and she does not feel the need to justify it to anyone.

“I have clearly said that I don’t see myself choosing motherhood. It’s a personal choice,” she stated, while noting that Gaurav is more guarded as he wants to protect her image.

Earlier, during an episode inside the Bigg Boss 19 house, Akanksha had spoken about the external pressure and labels she faces for her decision, saying she does not feel the need to have a child “from within” and that parenthood is a major responsibility.

Gaurav, meanwhile, was seen reassuring her during the show, saying he has accepted her decision and would not try to change her mind.

Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola tied the knot on November 24, 2016, in Kanpur, and have been married for nearly a decade.
