Alita D’Souza shines at state-level swimming competition

Mangaluru, Jan 25: Alita D’Souza delivered an impressive performance at the We One Aqua Carnival, a state-level non-medalist swimming competition, held at the Yemmekere International Swimming Pool on January 25.

Competing in the under-2014 age category, Alita secured first place in the 50-metre butterfly event, clocking an excellent time of 35.09 seconds. She also recorded a time of 38.16 seconds in the 50-metre backstroke and completed the 200-metre individual medley in 3.08 minutes.

In addition, Alita was part of the winning 4x50-metre freestyle relay team, which finished the race in 2.20 minutes, earning her another first-place finish.

Alita is currently undergoing swimming training at the We One Aqua Centre, Aloysius Swimming Pool, under the guidance of coach Lokraj V S.
