Bengaluru, Jan 25: The Department of School Education and Literacy in Karnataka has once again revised the timings for the SSLC preparatory examinations 2 and 3, marking the second adjustment ahead of the scheduled exams.
Earlier, the department had announced that the exams would commence at 11 am, a measure intended to curb the risk of question paper leakage. However, a fresh Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) now stipulates that the examinations will begin at 10.30 am, while students must be present in their classrooms by 9 am.

According to the SOP, head teachers alone are authorised to download the question papers using their login ID and the OTP sent to their registered mobile numbers, ensuring strict control over exam security.
The second preparatory examination is set to be conducted from January 27 to February 2, while the third preparatory examination will take place from February 23 to 28, allowing students adequate time to prepare under the revised schedule.
Officials emphasised that these measures are being implemented to strengthen examination security and maintain the integrity of the SSLC process.
