Kundapur: Health check-up camp held at IMJ Institutions in collaboration with KMC Hospital

Kundapur, Jan 22: A health check-up camp was successfully organised recently at IMJ Institutions in collaboration with KMC Hospital, Mangaluru, with the objective of creating health awareness among staff and facilitating early detection of heart-related problems.

The camp was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm at the Health Science Block of IMJ Institutions. It aimed to promote preventive healthcare and encourage staff members to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Junior resident in Cardiology at KMC Hospital Mangaluru, Dr Samriddh Rai, participated in the programme as the chief guest. He shared valuable insights on the importance of heart health, preventive measures, healthy lifestyle practices, and ways to maintain a strong and healthy heart.

Academic director of IMJ Institutions, Dr S N Bhat, attended the programme as a special guest and encouraged the staff to actively participate in regular health check-ups for long-term well-being.

Principals, vice-principals, heads of departments, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff from all colleges under IMJ Institutions took part in the programme. A total of 106 teaching and non-teaching staff members underwent medical examinations during the camp.

The health check-up camp was well-organised and highly beneficial. It played a significant role in raising awareness about heart health and emphasised the importance of regular medical screening.

The programme concluded successfully with appreciation for the medical team from KMC Hospital and the organising committee for their dedicated efforts in making the event effective and meaningful.
