Udupi, Jan 20: St Cecily’s CBSE students witnessed an enthralling general knowledge quiz ‘Knowledge Knockout’ on January 16. The event was inaugurated by Sr Priya A C, superior of St Cecily’s Convent and KG coordinator.

With their thinking caps on, students wore and assembled in the auditorium where the final round of ‘Knowledge Knockout’ unfolded. The enriching quiz competition was held house-wise for juniors (grades 4 to 6) and seniors (grades 8-10).

Minds raced, energy soared as the quiz master-Prachi Singh rolled questions in various lively rounds such as buzzer round, rapid fire, jumbo letters, abbreviations, logos, taglines and many more. The eagerness of every participant to score points and the curiosity of the audience to know not only the answers but also to see the winning team, made the event truly sizzling.

Tulip House emerged as the champion, bagging the first prize in the junior category as well as senior category. Daffodil House secured the second prize, in the junior category while the Anthurium House claimed second place in the senior category.

The event was smoothly conducted with the support of the scorekeepers, teacher Joshna, teacher Vidya, teacher Jennifer and teacher Vanishri with their fair and flawless conduct of the competition.

In the junior category, Tulip House secured the first place, with outstanding performances by Inaya (4B), Ishaan (6A), Kavya Shah (6B), and Saanvi (6C). The second place was bagged by Daffodil House (Yellow), represented by Nishal (4A), Nirali (5B), Akshaya (6A), and Payal (6B).

In the senior category, Green House emerged as the first-place winners, with commendable efforts from Nisha (7C), Srinika Roshith (8B), Satvik R Shetty (9B), and Humani (10). Tulip House secured the second place, with Vaishnavi Y (7C), Faimuddhin (8B), Yukthika U Anchan (9B), and Vanshika (10) contributing to the team’s success.
