Mangaluru: Annual feast of St Sebastian Church celebrated with devotion

Mangaluru, Jan 20: The annual feast of St Sebastian Church, Permannur was devoutly celebrated on January 18. The Solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Fr Faustine Lukas Lobo, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions. He was joined by the parish priest Fr Cyprian Pinto and the assistant parish priest Fr Melvin D’Souza, along with seven other priests who concelebrated. Nearly 2,000 faithful participated in the celebration.

During the Holy Mass, the Year of Children was inaugurated by Fr Faustine Lukas Lobo along with Arun D'Souza, vice-president of the parish council, Jyothi D’Souza, secretary, and Dolfy D’Souza, coordinator of the 21 parish commissions. Ten children joined in the inauguration, highlighting the parish’s focus on the faith formation of children.

At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, the foundation stone for the wash rooms project was blessed by Fr Kiran Coth.

The feast was a meaningful occasion of faith, unity, and gratitude, bringing the parish community together in joyful celebration.
