Christ Church Manipal releases 'Pastoral Plan 2026 – Way Forward'

Udupi, Jna 12: Christ Church, Manipal, officially released its 'Pastoral Plan 2026 – Way Forward' during the morning Holy Mass on Sunday, January 12. The release marks an important step in guiding the parish’s spiritual and pastoral journey for the coming year.

The vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council, Alwyn Saldanha, formally released the book and distributed copies to the parish secretary, ward gurkars, and BEC coordinator highlighting their key role in implementing the plan at various levels of parish life.

On the celebration of Baptism of the Lord, Fr Romeo Lewis, parish priest unveiled the cover of the pastoral plan and provided an overview of its contents, offering glimpses into the vision and direction outlined in the document. The book comprehensively covers all major pastoral activities of the parish, such as catechism, liturgy, youth activities, novenas, adoration, and other spiritual and community-oriented initiatives.

The parish priest, in his address, called upon every parishioner to actively participate and work in accordance with the pastoral plan. Emphasizing unity and shared responsibility, he urged the faithful to contribute wholeheartedly towards achieving the objectives of the Year of the Poor: 2026 as declared by the Bishop of Udupi Diocese.

The parish also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Dr Sabitha Mendonca who diligently prepared the Pastoral Plan with great dedication and ensured its timely completion.

The release of the Pastoral Plan 2026 serves as a roadmap for Christ Church, Manipal, inspiring the parish community to grow in faith, service, and commitment to the mission of Udupi Diocese.
