Sweezal Furtado unveils Abhimata Sambhrama 2026 poster at Brahmavara

Brahmavara, Jan 10: Miss Global India award winner Sweezel Furtrado lauded Team Abhimata for its dedicated efforts in nurturing local art and culture, stating that such initiatives play a vital role in preserving the town’s cultural identity.

She was speaking after unveiling the poster of “Abhimata Sambhrama 2026,” scheduled to be held on February 14, at a programme organised on Saturday at the Rotary Club Community Hall, Brahmavara. The event was held under the auspices of Janaseva Trust (R), Moodgiliyar, and Team Abhimata.

Addressing the gathering, GM Group  of Educational Institutions chairman Prakashchandra Shetty said that society always values social service carried out with selfless intent and without expectation of rewards. He noted that the poster release symbolised the collective effort and commitment of the entire Team Abhimata, which deserves appreciation for its sincere service to society.

Brahmavara Rotary Club president Satish Shetty said that Team Abhimata, through its various cultural, social, and health-related initiatives, has set an example for other organisations to follow.

Moodgiliyar Janaseva Trust (R) president Vasant Giliyar delivered the introductory address. The programme was compered by journalist Pranuth Ganiga.

Cultural thinker Uday Kumar Shetty Padukere, reception committee president Rajesh K C, and Team Abhimata coordinator Praveen Yakshimath, among others, were present on the occasion.
