Young Mangalurean author Reshel Fernandes wins recognition for literary works

Mangaluru, Jan 9: A young prolific author, orator and recipient of the Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award, Reshel Fernandes has continued to draw national and international recognition for her contribution to literature and public discourse.

A member of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), she has authored five books, including the widely acclaimed Bharat at 2047: Role of Youth and Swaraj: A Good Governance Wheel of Democracy.

On the occasion commemorating the birth anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, her achievements and ideological contributions were highlighted, reflecting her growing influence in contemporary thought leadership. Her work and accomplishments have been featured in several national and international magazines, underscoring her impact beyond academic and literary circles.

She has been honoured with multiple prestigious awards, including the J Maurice Lifetime Achievement Award conferred by the Indian Catholic Press Association, recognising her sustained contribution to literature and social thought.

Recently, her work received international applause from the team of Literature Today, which has consistently appreciated her writings and featured her prominently in its magazine on pages 22 and 23.

In addition to her literary pursuits, she is actively associated with various national fora, including Disha Bharat, Samartha Bharat and Thinkers’ Forum, contributing to discussions on governance, youth engagement and nation-building.
