Karkala: Fire brigade rescues elderly man who fell into 30-foot-deep well

Karkala, Jan 9: An elderly man suffering from paralysis was rescued after he accidentally fell into a 30-foot-deep well at Devaragudde Nekre in Karkala taluk on Thursday, January 8.

The rescued person has been identified as Chandu Parava. Following the incident, personnel from the Karkala Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and carried out a challenging rescue operation, successfully pulling the elderly man out of the well without serious injury.

The rescue operation was conducted under the leadership of Karkala fire station officer Chandrashekar. Fire personnel Hariprasad, Mujambil, Dinesh, and Ganesh actively participated in the operation and ensured the safe evacuation of the victim.
