AGMUT cadre reshuffle: Key IAS, IPS transfers involving Goa

Panaji, Jan 5: In a major reshuffle within the AGMUT cadre, the Centre has effected several transfers of IAS and IPS officers, impacting postings in Goa, Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi and Ladakh.

IPS officer SP Akshat Kaushal has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh, while SP Shekhar Prabhudesai has been posted to Goa from Arunachal Pradesh. Among IAS officers, Michael D’Souza has been transferred to Goa from Ladakh, and Nikhil Dessai has been posted to Goa from Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. IPS officer Shruti Arora has also been transferred to Goa from Ladakh.

Within Goa, IAS officer Sanjeev Ahuja has been posted to Delhi, while Ankita Mishra has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.

The reshuffle comes in the backdrop of recent administrative action following the Shirgao Zatra stampede. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had earlier stated that action was taken against SP Akshat Kaushal and then North Goa Collector Sneha Gitte in connection with the incident.
