Mumbai, Jan 4: Television actors Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have officially confirmed that they have parted ways, putting an end to months of speculation about their relationship. The couple shared a joint statement on social media, stating that while they have chosen separate paths, they continue to remain friends and support each other.

In a statement posted on Jay Bhanushali’s Instagram story, the duo said they were choosing peace, growth and kindness while prioritising their children. “Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s back. For the sake of our children—Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer—we commit to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them,” the statement read.

They emphasised that there was no negativity or blame behind the decision, adding that there was “no villain” in their story. The actors requested privacy and respect as they move forward, reiterating that they continue to respect, support and remain friends with each other.

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij tied the knot on November 11, 2011. They are parents to daughter Tara, born in 2019, and foster parents to Rajveer and Khushi, whom they welcomed into their family in 2017.

Reports had earlier suggested that the couple had filed for divorce in 2025, with rumours first surfacing in July that year. However, the duo had largely remained silent until their recent confirmation.

Despite the separation, both have continued to publicly support each other. Last month, Jay was seen cheering Mahhi’s return to television, praising her comeback, while Mahhi has also been actively engaging with Jay’s posts featuring their children.
