Karkala, Jan 1: The state government has issued orders promoting Karkala subdivision assistant superintendent of police Harsha Priyamvada to the rank of superintendent of police (SP). She has been posted as SP in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Bengaluru.

A 2020-batch IPS officer and an MBBS graduate, Harsha Priyamvada took charge as Karkala ASP in February. During her tenure, she initiated strong action against illegal stone quarrying and the illegal sand transportation racket.

With this promotion, she will now take on a key responsibility in the CID, the state’s premier investigation agency.
