Mumbai, Dec 25: Actress and former Bigg Boss 17 contestant Mannara Chopra has embraced the festive spirit by releasing her own vocal rendition of the iconic Christmas song “Last Christmas,” adding a personal and emotional note to the holiday season.

Sharing the track with fans, Mannara described the cover as a heartfelt offering. In a social media post, she said that this Christmas, instead of just celebrating the season, she wanted to share something deeply personal — her voice and musical vibe — straight from the heart.

The much-loved song has been reimagined by numerous global artists over the years, making Mannara’s version her own addition to a long list of celebrated interpretations.

Mannara’s musical journey began earlier this year when she made her singing debut with a soulful rendition of the classic “Ajeeb Dastaan.” Speaking at the time, she had expressed that music has always been close to her heart and that her goal was to blend timeless melodies with her own artistic expression, creating something both personal and relatable.

Born Barbie Handa in Ambala Cantonment, Haryana, the 33-year-old performer has worn many creative hats over the years. Before stepping into films, she worked as a fashion designer and assistant choreographer, and trained in dance styles such as hip hop and belly dancing. She has also appeared in more than 40 television commercials.

Mannara entered the film industry in 2014 with the Telugu movie “Prema Geema Jantha Nai,” and later went on to act in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films. Her Hindi debut came with Anubhav Sinha’s “Zid,” followed by special song appearances in Tamil films “Sandamarutham” and “Kaaval.” She also starred opposite Sai Dharam Tej in “Thikka” and made her Kannada debut with “Rogue” in 2017.

Her popularity soared after her appearance on Bigg Boss 17 in 2023, hosted by Salman Khan, where she finished as the second runner-up. She later made her digital debut with the web series “Bhootmate,” playing a ghost named Pari.

Up next, Mannara will be seen in the Telugu film “Thiragabadara Saami” alongside Raj Tarun, as well as in the Punjabi project “Ohi Chann Ohi Raatan.” With music now added to her creative repertoire, she continues to explore new avenues of expression.
