Udupi: Elderly man with mental health issues goes missing

Udupi, Dec 23: An elderly man suffering from memory loss and mental health issues has been reported missing from Padubidri.

The missing person has been identified as B Krishnappa (65), a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Adamaru village, Padubidri. According to the complaint, Krishnappa left his house on the morning of December 21 stating that he was going to buy beedis, but did not return home thereafter.

Family members have stated that Krishnappa has been suffering from mental illness for the past 20 years and has recently developed severe memory loss. Despite extensive searches conducted by family members, neighbours, and relatives in nearby areas, there has been no information regarding his whereabouts.

Following unsuccessful efforts to trace him, a missing complaint has been lodged at the Padubidri police station.
