Hyderabad, Dec 21: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced an uncomfortable situation after being mobbed by an unruly crowd while stepping out to attend a public event in Hyderabad on Sunday, just days after a similar incident involving actress Nidhhi Agerwal at a song launch event for The Raja Saab.
Videos circulating widely on Reddit and Instagram show Samantha, dressed in an elegant silk saree, struggling to make her way from the stage to her car amid a massive crowd. Despite being surrounded by security personnel, the sheer number of people made movement difficult, with security seen struggling to control the situation. Samantha, however, maintained her composure, smiling calmly as she was escorted through the chaos.

The incident has triggered sharp criticism online, with several users condemning the lack of basic boundaries and public behaviour at celebrity events. “Pathetic,” commented one user, while another asked, “Why fans don't understand boundaries even after the Raja Saab incident?”
Others questioned event preparedness, stating, “Why is their management never prepared for these things when they know how common it is?” Another user pointed out that repeated incidents have resulted in injuries and even loss of lives in the past, citing examples from Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu, and criticised the culture of obsessive celebrity worship in the southern states.
Meanwhile, Samantha recently tied the knot with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru on December 1 in the presence of close friends and family. The actress confirmed the news on social media, sharing glimpses from their intimate wedding ceremony, which was held as a Linga Bhairava Vivaha at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore.
On the professional front, Samantha is currently working with Raj & DK on the upcoming series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. The project also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaideep Ahlawat, and is currently in production. The series is expected to premiere in 2026.
