Brahmavar, Dec 12: Senior journalist and close associate of Vaddarse Raghurama Shetty, Chidambara Baikampady, has been selected for the prestigious Vaddarse Raghurama Shetty Journalism Award presented annually by the Brahmavar taluk Journalists’ Association.

For the past nine years, the Brahmavar Journalists’ Association has been honouring eminent journalists with this award. Chidambara Baikampady has now been chosen for the 2025 award, which will be presented on December 27, at Bantara Bhavana, Brahmavar, in the presence of distinguished guests.

Chidambara Baikampady closely worked with Vaddarse Raghurama Shetty and served in Mungaru newspaper for ten years, bringing life to his mentor’s vision. Over the years, he has rendered valuable service across various media platforms. He has also contributed significantly to literature, authoring several works.

Considering his contributions and achievements in journalism and literature, Chidambara Baikampady has been selected for the Vaddarse Award, announced by Brahmavar Taluk Journalists’ Association President Rajesh Gaaniga Achladi and general secretary Harish Kiran Tunga.
