UP crosses 3 lac solar rooftop installations

Lucknow, Dec 9: Uttar Pradesh has achieved a major milestone in its clean energy push by crossing three lakh solar rooftop installations, securing the third spot in the country after Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Of the 9,83,915 applications received, 3,00,654 installations have been completed, taking the state’s total solar capacity to 1,038.27 MW.

With schemes like PM Surya Ghar Yojana and the state’s new solar policy, UP has strengthened its infrastructure through transparent systems, digital monitoring and timely execution.

Officials said the rapid expansion of solar rooftops is not only ensuring clean and affordable power but also contributing significantly to the state’s economic transformation.
