The preceding note was given by Raghuveer S saying, “The speaker, an alumnus of St Aloysius ITI, thanks the director, principal and all staff for organising the programme. He shares that as a student he never valued such programmes and used to sit on the last bench, but only understood their importance after facing interview rejections due to poor skills, communication and leadership.

He tells students that companies always select capable, skilled and active candidates, and that today’s world and job market are very competitive. He reminds them that friends may remain for years, but this quality training will not come back and outside skill development courses are costly. He says a teacher’s life feels fulfilled when former students return after getting good jobs and say they are happy because of the training received in college. He ends by asking students to applaud their lecturers, wishing them all the best, and encouraging them to come back and thank their teachers after passing out.’’

Addressing the gathering D Vedavyas Kamath explains that, “India has one of the world’s finest and largest constitutions, mainly drafted under the leadership of Dr B R Ambedkar. He reminds the audience that the Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949 and later came into force on January 26, 1950, giving equal opportunity to all citizens.

He said that from November 26, 2015 this day is officially observed every year as Constitution Day to remember the Constitution and Ambedkar’s contribution. He stresses that a good Constitution works properly only when good people sincerely implement and protect it in real life. He tells students that because of this Constitution even the poorest person can rise to high positions like president or prime minister, and urges them to learn about and respect the Constitution through such programmes.’’

Rajaram Tolpadi shares, “The importance of the Indian Constitution and Dr B R Ambedkar’s role in shaping it. He explains that the constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949 and brought equality and opportunity for all citizens. He notes that since November 26, 2015 has been celebrated as Constitution Day to honour Ambedkar’s contribution. He urges students to understand and respect the Constitution’s values, not just in words but in daily life.’’

In his presidential address Fr John D’Souza SJ said, “No matter how many speeches are given or how many pages the Constitution has, it is useless if people do not read and follow it. He urges students to read the constitution, understand their rights and duties, and become good Indian citizens. He concludes by saying that is his only message and thanks everyone. Let us promise to be good citizens and make our nation proud.’’

Shreyas, junior training officer proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Padmavathi, junior training officer.
